Resident Rights
Your Rights as a Resident
Every resident at Parkhill Housing Group is entitled to the following rights.
Safe & Habitable Housing
You have the right to a clean, safe, and well-maintained living space with functioning utilities.
Privacy & Dignity
You have the right to be treated with respect and dignity by staff and fellow residents at all times.
Non-Discrimination
You will not be discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or any other protected class.
Grievance Process
You have the right to raise concerns or file a grievance without fear of retaliation. All complaints are taken seriously and addressed promptly.
Personal Belongings
You have the right to keep personal belongings in your room. Staff will not enter your room without notice except in emergencies.
Case Manager Access
You have the right to communicate with your case manager and outside support services at any time.
House Rules
Resident Responsibilities
Living in a structured community requires shared commitment. All residents are expected to uphold the following.
Daily Living
- Keep your room and shared spaces clean and orderly at all times
- Dispose of trash properly and follow the household cleaning schedule
- Respect quiet hours (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM on weekdays; 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM on weekends)
- No smoking inside the property — designated outdoor areas only
Community Standards
- Treat all residents and staff with respect — no harassment, threats, or intimidation
- No illegal drugs, alcohol, or weapons on the premises at any time
- No unauthorized guests overnight — all visitors must be approved in advance
- No loud music, disruptive behavior, or disturbances that affect other residents
Program Participation
- Attend scheduled house meetings and check-ins with staff
- Actively work toward your housing stability goals with your case manager
- Notify staff of any changes to your income, benefits, or housing plan
- Comply with all terms of your lease and resident agreement
Financial
- Pay rent on time each week or month per your lease agreement
- Report any changes to your funding source or benefits immediately
- Do not sublease your room or allow others to use your space without authorization
Before You Move In
Move-In Requirements
The following items are required before or at the time of move-in.
Government-Issued Photo ID
Driver's license, state ID, or passport
Social Security Card or Proof of SSN
Original card or official documentation
Proof of Income or Benefits
SSI/SSDI award letter, pay stub, or GA approval
Funding Authorization (if applicable)
Agency voucher or authorization letter
First Month's Rent or Deposit
Per your lease and funding arrangement
Lease & Agreement
Resident Agreement Overview
All residents sign a Resident Agreement at move-in. Key terms include:
Lease term and rent amount are clearly stated and agreed upon at signing
30-day written notice is required before vacating (unless otherwise arranged)
Violations of house rules may result in a written warning, probationary status, or lease termination depending on severity
Residents have the right to appeal any disciplinary action through the grievance process
Parkhill Housing Group reserves the right to inspect rooms with 24-hour notice for health and safety purposes
Emergency inspections may occur without notice if there is an immediate safety concern
